Is Scuba Diving Expensive?

Not really. Like any hobby or recreation, you can invest a lot or a little, depending upon your interest level and budget. I supply all the expensive items during the course, equipment like weight belts, regulators, gauges, wetsuits and air tanks, etc. I highly recommend each student have their own personal gear ( mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves) because these items really have to fit just right for your comfort and safety.

I have found that most divers can spend very little on diving, purchasing some equipment and renting most until they decide to invest in their own equipment. Because most dive centres and resorts rent equipment, you can invest in equipment overtime, renting what you don't have until you make the investment. Besides distant dive destinations, you probably have good diving not too far from where you live, so even travel costs are flexible enough to accommodate even the tightest budget.
