Stoney Cove

An enormously popular dive location, Stoney Cove offers fairly good visibility all year round. This flooded quarry has depths varying from 2 to 40 metres with lots of "wrecks" to explore including a Viscount aircraft cockpit, the Nautilus Submarine, Wessex Helicopter, the Stanegarth, a double decker bus, and a coach.

It's advisable to get there early if your planning a dive at the weekend as the rather small car park next to the lake fills quickly. The larger car park is a fair hike away. Air refills can take up to 90 minutes and longer when very busy.

Opening Hours

Stoney Cove is open for diving 362 days a year.

Diving Times:-

Saturday & Sunday - 7.00am til 3.00pm
Monday - Friday - 8.30am til 4.00pm
Night Dives 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month - 6.00pm - 9.00pm

Please note that night dives are charged as a separate diving session.

Prices

Diving at Stoney Cove costs £15 for each diving session.

Note:-

• You are reminded that the gates to Stoney Cove are open at 7.00am at the weekends.
• Stoney Cove registered divers please remember to have your Diverlog card ready for scanning as you arrive
• No one under the age of 12 years will be permitted to scuba dive/snorkel at Stoney Cove
• All dogs must be kept on leads
• Please keep the volume of car radios down.
