Qawra Point

Depth 8-36 meters
Sea Bed Rock / Sand
Interests Cave at 36 meters
Tourist Attractions Qawra Point, also known as Ta' Fra Ben, is a rocky outcrop within Qawra, a sea-side town in the north of Malta. There are many hotels and restaurants in the area.
Speciality Cave divers.
Dangers
You must be taken there by somebody that knows the area because there is a cave which has a very narrow entrance and a very silty bottom. Three divers died there in 1992 due to low visibility within the cave.
Visibility 3 - 10 meters

Navigation Take the bearing when about 10 meters off shore. After 10 -20 minutes surface swim (Depends on the strength of the divers), you will find a dropoff. Go down, and follow the dropoff to the right until you find a canyon. At the very bottom on left hand side at a depth of about 36 meters, you will find an entrance. The cave is horse shoe in shape. You must take care of what you are doing because, the cave is not very large, and you cannot see the exit while you are going in. You will see it only half way through. The bottom of the cave is rocky bottom with sandy areas. Not adviseable for more than 4 divers.

Entry/Exit Points Down the rocks
