The famous wreck of Zenobia is in Larnaca, the wreck is approximately 172 meters long and weighs 10.000 tons. The Ro-Ro Ferry Zenobia was built in 1979 by Kockums of Malmo, Sweden, Gross tonnage 12,000, Length 172m, Overall Beam 23.4m.

At 2.30a.m June 7th 1980, the Zenobia capsized and sank in 43 meters of water in Larnaca Bay. She sank with a cargo of 104 fully loaded articulated lorries. No salvage work has ever been carried out.

About 10 minutes by boat from Larnaca, this is one of the world’s top 10 wreck dives. The Zenobia is a Swedish roll on roll off ferry that sank in 1980. With the top of the wreck at 16 meters and the sea bed at 43 meters the wreck offers scope for sport diver to the lost experienced diver. The Zenobia had 104 articulated lorries when she sank and many can still be seen along the holds and rear decks of the wreck. There are many species of fish and marine life to be seen, including Grouper, Barracuda and Amberjacks.
